Is there anything you need to prepare?
Simple answer is yes, a more granular answer depends on if you are a U.S, EU or other citizen. In order to make things earier, we'll focus on EU citizens in this blog post.
There are currently 28 member states of the European Union, if you're one of them it basically means that you have the option of quite easily moving from 28 different countries to Ireland. Isn't that awesome?
In order to smoothen the process of relocating abroad, you will usually need a few things such as:
- A passport.
- A job offer in the country you want to move to (not mandatory, but helps).
- A place to live in the country you want to move to (or at least an address.
- Money, in case of the inevitable, a buffer will definitely help you out.

Having a lot of options might sometimes make it even harder for you to decide on where you want to move abroad. Especially if you have 28 ones. That's why we've come up with some tips on how to make your decision easier by providing some serious and some alternative methods.
If you are ready to move abroad, here's how you can choose where to:
- Are you moving for work or leisure?
If for work, then check out which industry is based where. For example, a lot of tech jobs are based in the UK, Ireland and Sweden whereas a lot of jobs in the agriculturalarea or textile industry are based in Spain. - Which weather do you prefer?
Do prefer it hot, cold, humid, dry or someway other than that? Check out the weatherin each country you're interested in moving to. - Don't know where to move?
If you have no idea where you want to move, but know you want to move. Just go where ever, don't let the years pass by and fill you with remorse over never doing what you really wanted to do. Too rough? Just take a map and point your finger randomly, that's another way to go.
